By Brian: Sorry to harp on and on about progressive lenses (no line bifocals) but as I was perusing the vegies at our local food store this week I looked up and saw an orphaned pair of reading glasses neatly sitting atop the cucumber stand.
I can just visualize the sequence of events. Pen and list in hand, pushing the cart, examining food and then looking up across the store to see where the next item is. Well you can't see because your looking through your readers so you pull them off and place them on that convenient display case only to move on because your thinking about grapefruit.
Best as I can explain it a good pair of progressive lenses is like having young eyes again. Everything I look at, from nutritional labels to overhead signs, is in sharp focus but the main benefit may be ergonomics. I no longer perform a Pas de deux with my eyeglasses...Or worse a parting of the ways.
